- Jenny McKeon is living the dream as a manga translator for Vertical. Now she’s working on her own manga about her unusual career, and Organization Anti-Social Geniuses has sneak-previewed the first few pages!
- Interested in becoming a Japanese translator yourself? Tofugu has an older article on it. HT Apricot Sushi.
- Also, OASG editor-in-chief Justin has brought back an older feature called The Justin Lab Report. The first edition of this revived column features anime scriptwriter and voice actress Katelyn Barr… and will feature yours truly next week!
- For ANN, Jake outlines anime’s fiercest frenemies while exploring why the friend/rival trope is so enduring in anime.
- Dr. Stephen Reysen does research on pop culture and anime, and his latest fan poll is up. Help some scholars study anime fandom while being entered to win an Amazon gift card. HT Steven Savage.
